Band Trip to Universal Studios Day 3

SUNDAY, MARCH 29

7:00am - Enjoy breakfast at the hotel

8:00am - Check out of the hotel; begin loading motor coaches in uniform (bring park clothes in a backpack to change into after your performance)

8:30am - Depart for Universal Orlando Gate 3, 1000 Production Plaza, Orlando, FL 32819

9:00am - Arrive at the Universal Orlando Gate 3 to be greeted by STARS Event Staff; proceed to your warm up location

9:20am - Unload equipment from motor coaches; prepare for your performance

10:35am - Venice High School Band performs in a Morning March at Universal Studios

10:50am - Morning March ends; return equipment to the motor coaches; change out of uniform

AM - Enjoy the day at Universal Studios AND Universal Islands of Adventure (after the performance, drivers return to hotel and are off duty until departure home tonight) Park Hours: Universal Studios 10am-9pm; Islands of Adventure 9am-8pm

Head to: “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” and stroll the streets of Hogsmeade, exploring sights and sounds and magical wonders therein.  Experience thrilling rides and attractions that bring the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends to life.

Experience: Platform 9 ¾ Board the train and travel between both Hogsmeade™ and London via the Hogwarts™ Express with a Park-to-Park admission ticket

PM - Enjoy lunch in the park (student cost)

Check out: Famous Diagon Alley Shops: See a wand choose a wizard at Ollivanders wand shop. Pick up magical jokes and novelty items at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. Find all your wizardwear needs at Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions. Bring home a furry, feathered, or scaly creature from the Magical Menagerie.

Check out: Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts: At the far end of Diagon Alley stands Gringotts, the goblin-run bank. Inside, you’ll experience a pulse-pounding adventure on the groundbreaking, multi-dimensional thrill ride that puts you right in the middle of the action as you navigate your way through the perils of the Gringotts vaults – encountering Harry, Ron, and Hermione along the way! 

PM - Enjoy dinner in the park ($20 Universal Gift Card provided)

7:00pm - Load motor coaches; depart for home (144 miles, 3 hours allotted for drive time)

10:00pm - Approximate arrival at Venice High School – WELCOME HOME!
